The 2021 ISA Spring Annual Heavy Equipment Auction had an outstanding showing of both buyers and sellers. Over 200 sellers consigned items to be presented to thousands of bidders from all over the world! It was the largest live on-site & online heavy equipment auction in Wisconsin history! Thanks to customers like you, it was a great event that set several new auction records!

The sale was extended to a 5-day event to accommodate the amount of equipment that had been consigned for the sale, and there was a strong showing of equipment in all categories. ISA staff took more than 26,000 photos and over 250 videos to compile the catalog, more than any of our previous auctions. Due to the volume of equipment consigned, day 1 was almost all heavy equipment that was sold. Among the equipment was several late model machines like three 2020 Terramac tracked loaders, a 2019 Caterpillar 320 Excavator, a 2015 John Deere 1270E Processor, along with many other highly valued late-model machines.

Equipment shortages coming into 2021 kept the high price trend moving into the spring sale. 2020 Terramac tracked loaders sold for almost retail putting them well above average auction pricing. Overall pricing on equipment was 20-30% higher than the national average, setting new record highs for several machines. Bidding began shortly after 9AM and continued until almost 7PM, with strong bidders bidding it out to the end on the first day. The sale drew a large crowd of international bidders. The 2014 Caterpillar D8T Dozer was shipped to Canada. A Komatsu PC-490 Excavator was shipped to Taiwan, Another Komatsu Excavator, a PC-400, was shipped to Dubai. Heavy equipment was shipped to Vietnam, Taiwan, Canada, Mexico and several other countries-- and that was just Day 1!

Several great quad-dump trucks, heavy-haul trucks and trailers drew an impressive crowd of bidders on Saturday. The vehicle portion of the sale included several late model items as well, making it just as exciting as Friday. Among the featured items was a 2019 Peterbilt 377 and Caterpillar CT660 quad-dumps, an awesome Kenworth Tri-axle heavy hauler and a 2017 IMT Dominator service truck. Pricing continued the trend with some items on day 2 going over 40% higher than the national average. Buyers indicated to ISA that this was caused by shortages in new and used semis and trailers nationwide, making it worth driving a couple thousand miles. Whatever the reasons may be, there was a common gratification amongst sellers as the hammer dropped.

It turned out to be a great event for both buyers and sellers, and many people were happy to express it. Duane W., of Ringle, said, “It was a good experience and I look forward to the next one in July.” Kathy R. of Cornell, MI was very satisfied saying, “We were so impressed with the friendliness and how helpful all employees were. Although it seemed like a long ride for us it was a good experience. Everything was organized and it was obvious the precautions that were taken to keep everything and everyone safe. A top notch operation.” Sam S was very happy with how well his items did. He commented, “You made it easy! No ads in the shopper, no people coming to my house to deal with. Just drop it off and find the check in the mailbox. You got me the money that I thought it would bring.” ISA would like to say, “Thank You to all who attended & Bid.”
