This role focuses on building strong relationships with individuals and companies who have surplus assets, guiding them through the consignment process and showcasing the benefits of ISA's auction services. The ideal candidate will have relevant industry expertise in (heavy equipment, trucking, ag, etc.) coupled with a strategic mindset for consignor growth.
- Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to acquire consignments of heavy equipment, trucks, and related assets within the Houston market, with a strong focus on growing and expanding our network of consignors.
- Identify and pursue potential consignors, including fleet operators, construction companies, and equipment dealers, presenting the benefits of our auction process to help them achieve the best returns on their surplus assets.
- Contribute to and enhance the overall outreach efforts of the sales team.
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with consignors, ensuring a seamless consignment experience and high levels of satisfaction that lead to repeat business.
- Conduct market research specific to heavy equipment and trucking to stay informed of surplus inventory trends and identify key opportunities to increase consignment volume.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to design campaigns focused on attracting consignors and showcasing the benefits of auctioning surplus assets, driving consignment growth.
- Utilize CRM and internal software for tracking sales activities, consignment leads, and client interactions, maintaining accurate records and reporting on consignment metrics.
- Participate in training sessions for the sales team focused on consignment acquisition strategies, product knowledge, and consultative selling techniques specific to consignors.
Key Skills
- Sales and Relationship Management: Strong experience in territory sales and relationship-building, especially in engaging and retaining consignors.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the heavy equipment and commercial trucking sectors, with insights into the motivations and needs of consignors in these fields.
- Analytical Acumen: Ability to assess regional surplus trends and identify opportunities for consignment growth.
- Customer-Centric: Strong orientation toward client service, with skills in building rapport and providing value-driven solutions for consignors.
- CRM Proficiency: Ability to navigate CRM software to manage consignment leads and track performance.
- Organized and Detail-Oriented: Capable of managing consignment acquisition priorities in a fast-paced auction environment.
- Auction Industry Expertise (preferred): Understand auction-related processes and services is a plus!
Qualifications
- High School Diploma Required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
